OPEN FOR APPLICATIONSPART-TIME — 1 HR/WEEKREMOTEPAY NEGOTIABLESTART IMMEDIATELY
About the role
Himmelskolen is live, and the game gets updated almost every week. Every update can bring new bugs — a bird that freezes mid-air, a sound that never plays, a player falling through the floor. We need someone with sharp eyes who finds these bugs before our players do.
As our Junior Game Tester you'll be part of the quality team and report directly to the studio's leadership: Somia Salaouatchi (Creative Director) and Bilal Salaouatchi (Technical Director). What you find actually gets fixed — often as soon as the following week.
the studio — where your bug reports land on the desk
What you'll do
Systematic bug hunting — one fixed hour every week, searching an agreed part of the game with focus and precision
Screenshots with markings — you take a screenshot of the bug and clearly mark/draw where it is
Bug reports — you describe what happened, where it happened, and step by step how to make it happen again
Submitting — all findings are delivered before your work hour is over
Follow-up — you answer questions from the developers if anything in your report needs clarifying
What a good bug report looks like
We hold our reports to a high standard — a good report lets us fix the bug without asking any further questions. Here's a real example from our last test round:
HS-BUG-042ALPHABET ARENAAPPROVED ✓
Letter-bird freezes mid-air and can't be clicked
Where
The alphabet arena, bird perch no. 3 (closest to the bridge)
What happened
After round 2 the letter-bird froze completely mid-air. It didn't react to clicks, and the round could not be finished.
Steps to reproduce
Start solo practice
Answer the first two birds correctly
Click bird no. 3 right as it takes off
Expected
The bird should fly on to the next perch and stay clickable

Who we're looking for
You have a sharp eye for detail — you notice things others miss
You can explain clearly, both out loud and in writing
You can take screenshots and mark them up — or you're willing to learn (we'll teach you)
You're patient and systematic — real bug hunting is calm and thorough, not random clicking
You've played many kinds of games and know how a game should behave
Age is not a barrier — we judge every applicant on skill and effort
Work hours and discipline
This job takes precision, not just a love of games:
Your work hour is one hour, same weekday and same time every week. You propose your own day and time in the application.
Showing up on time is your own responsibility — we do not send reminders.
All the work — searching, screenshots, marking, writing reports and submitting — happens inside that hour.
Overtime is only paid when it's agreed in advance or well argued afterwards. You'll have to make the case for why the extra time was needed.
Pay and terms
Pay is decided in the interview, based on the experience and value you show. There are two models — which one you get is part of the negotiation:
① Pay per approved bug — you get paid for every bug that management approves. ② Hourly pay — a fixed rate for every completed work hour.
Come prepared: in the interview you'll propose and defend your own pay. Well-argued demands are taken seriously.
What we offer
Pay by agreement — see the two models above
Your name in the game's credits under "Quality Assurance"
Real QA experience and a written reference letter when your engagement ends
A direct line to the developers — short decisions, no middlemen
A front-row seat to how a real game gets built, week by week
The application process
The position is advertised in the game's newsletter and among the families who play Himmelskolen — applications are coming in steadily
